Lydd on Sea Beach is a more remote and quieter stretch of the Romney Marsh coastline, located near the Dungeness peninsula. The beach is part of the Dungeness National Nature Reserve, making it popular with bird watchers and nature lovers. The beach is also popular with anglers, particularly during the quieter months.
Visitors should note that there are no lifeguards on duty at Lydd Beach, and no facilities right on the shore, so it's essential to come prepared. However, the open water and quiet setting also attract wild swimmers, kayakers, and the occasional windsurfer or paddleboarder, especially on calmer days.
