Camber Beach, situated in East Sussex, is a popular foreshore known for its unique sand dunes and wide expanse of sand, making it an ideal destination for families and water sports enthusiasts. .

Camber Sands is located at the mouth of the River Rother in Rye Bay, East Sussex. The beach features a wide expanse of fine sand with a shallow profile and a long tidal range. It is part of a large embayment and is truncated to the west by the training wall of the River Rother. The bathing water is backed by sand dunes and a golf course to the west and a large caravan park to the east. The area close to the mouth of the Rother has strong currents.

Camber Sands is a little unusual for a Sussex beach, as it is covered in fine, golden sand, unlike most beaches along the Sussex coast which are lined with pebbles and shingle. The beach is also home to the only sand dunes in East Sussex. The best section of beach is the western end near where the River Rother empties into the sea, where it is wall to wall sand, whilst further along the beach becomes more shingley. The beach stretches nearly 5 miles east of the village.

Camber Sands is a popular spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and is also regarded as one of the best places for beachcombing in the UK. Despite its fantastic natural assets, Camber Sands remains largely unspoilt, and for the larger part of the year, there is a good chance of finding some solitude here. Even in the height of summer, the crowds are bearable, even though it is within 2 hours of London.

Camber Sands has been used as a film location for several movies, including "Dunkirk" in the 1950s, "Follow That Camel" in 1967, "The Theory of Everything", "The Monuments Men", and "The Invisible Woman" (2013), a period drama about Charles Dickens.
